Keith and Sherill, Finca Limoneros, Alora, Andalucia
Well equipped Oliver studio very well thought out. Beautiful countryside and a trip to El Chorro is a must.

Thanks Keith for the warm welcome...
Debs and Dave Powell, London, UK December 2003
Superb pre-Christmas break with the usual genuine friendly welcome from Keith and Sherill. The results of all your hard work are looking good!

The beautiful sunny weather has been an added bonus. We'll be back!!
John and Linda Wall, Preston, UK and Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Eire December 2003
Muchas gracias por su hospitalidad! Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice. The finca is well situated for our excursions to the white hill towns of Andalucia.
Conny Jamison and Larry Siddall, San Diego, USA November 2003
A very nice and quiet studio, exceptional weather (for November) and great birdwatching. What else could one expect of a holiday? Thanks Keith!
Renee and Peter Overbosch, Bayern, Germany November 2003
Opening a finca to guests may not be new but linking it to excellent organisation, a truly amazing location and a warm, generous host clearly is.

Kept expecting Keith to walk across the pool given his ability to organise the weather!
Ted and Agnes Eve, Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK November 2003
We would like to thank Keith for a great two weeks and for all the information he's given us.

The apartment was nice and clean and the welcome pack was just right, and Pepe (el jardinero) is great too.

[Photographed elsewhere - the finca doesn't really overlook the bay!]
Denis and Debra Godfrey, Camborne, UK October 2003
It was great to arrive after a long drive to "that cup of tea" from the welcome pack.

The Adam studio was cosy and clean and an excellent base to explore the surrounding towns and villages, with Sierra de las Nieves starting at Tolox being our favourite are, with such stunning views.

[Gill and Michael have been readers of Keith's Journal from the beginning and kindly emailed us back in January 2003]

Gill and Michael Dawkins, Rochester, UK November 2003
A late break to discover another part of Andalucia after the Alpujarras last year. We've discovered some lovely, unspoilt and quite walking and seem to have managed despite lack of detailed maps.
Can recommend walks from El Mirador restauarant to view El Chorro gorge from above, the Sierra de Aguas for great views, and despite the hour's drive a walk from El Burgo was spectacularly pretty and well recommended (Sunflower Guide to Andalucia route 19).

The day of torrential rain turned into a golden opportunity to sample the fantastic value for money 'Menu del dia' at Los Conejitos!
Lovely accommodation and a great base to explore the surrounding area. Hopefully will return sometime to do the walks we didn't do this time. Muchas gracias Keith. Estupendamente!

Bob and Lorraine Setterfield, Lincoln, UK October 2003
Nice to see the web site turned into reality!
Great base while we sorted out the area for our future house (Loja).

Good luck for the future!
Leslie and Patricia Henson, Lincolnshire, UK October 2003
Wonderfully clean and welcoming. Very relaxing.

We look forward to seeing the garden progress on the website. Well done.
Heather Ballantyne and Mike Wyatt, Cumbria, UK October 2003
Abigail very good layout. Pool just right. Alora amazing roads! Good luck Keith (Liza)

Excellent website, directions, all the little extras. Well done. (Eric)
Liza and Eric Hughes, Winchester, UK October 2003
I told you we'd be back! Thanks again... (Veronica)

See you sooner or later, Keith - probably sooner! (Jim)

[Veronica and Jim first stayed at the finca in July 2003]
Veronica and Jim Haig, Fife, UK October 2003
Been here for a week and enjoyed my stay... a bit of walking and mostly drinking and sunbathing by the pool. Had a night at Rob's which I'll remember well but not sure Lil will. I'll be back... Ta very much Keith (Zan)
Finca in excellent location - lovely pool, fab scenery, excellent base for Andalucia. Enjoyed walk at El Chorro! Heather and Mike, excellent company and ultra friendly neighbours - fab puddings! Will return! Thanks Keith! (Lil)
Lilian Delaney and Suzanne, East Kilbride, UK October 2003
Our fourth visit this year and we've seen Alora and Finca Limoneros in three seasons now; each having something special to offer.

We'll be back early next year - just can't keep away!

[Louise and Dave first stayed at the finca in April 2003]
Louise & Ben Barber, Dave Stewart, Oakham, UK October 2003
The finca provided us with everything we needed, including a memorable Sunday morning - blue skies, easy views, 'country' silence and a cooling pool. Perfect dreams - many thanks.
Lyndsay and Ste Cunliffe, Prescot, UK September 2003
Our first visit to Finca Limoneros for a birdwatching holiday.
One word to describe the finca, area and birding - 'excelente'.

Thanks Keith, hope to return.
Dave and Carole Beetham, Warrington, UK September 2003
Olver is a delightful, spacious, well-equipped studio.
So peaceful and quiet that it was hard to tear ourselves away to sightsee - so we didn't!
We enjoyed 4 days of birdwatching and 'pottering' around Alora and nearby villages.
Thanks again Keith and hasta luego.
June and Ian Eglen, Keighley, UK September 2003
F.L. provided exactly the sort of relaxing break we were looking for. The studio was first class, and Alora makes a great base from which to explore central Andalucia. Thanks to Keith for his infectious enthusiasm for red wine, and the daily supply of figs from the tree!
Andrew and Sandra Fisher, Edinburgh, UK September 2003
As in April, F.L. was a wonderfully relaxing base as we combined sightseeing with flat-hunting and the accompanying bureaucracy. Birding highlight was the 300+ Honey Buzzards gathering and migrating south on the 6th, only metres from the finca.
Looking forward to sharing a bottle of wine (or three) with Keith when we return.

[Paul and Elaine first stayed at the finca in April 2003]
Paul and Elaine Winter, Hampshire, UK September 2003
We had a wonderful and exciting 7 days exploring Alora and its surrounding areas with our 2 year old. Ronda and Ardales were the highlights.
Finca Limoneros was a welcoming and comfortable retreat with Keith as a knowledgeable and helpful host.
Good luck for the future.
Vicky, Monj and Ava, Manchester, UK September 2003
I have enjoyed my stay here immensely, both the 'Lemon Trees' and the village of Alora. The Finca is beautifully situated and a joy to be at. The village is a real Spanish experience - friendly and mysterious at the same time. Like a trip to another place and time. I love it and don't want to leave. One time! (Max)
I loved the pool, views, surroundings, Alora and the general ambience. I will recommend Finca Limoneros to my friends and mention that Keith has pretty good taste in music too! (Jane)
Jane and Max Booty, Cardiff, UK September 2003
Lovely accommodation in an excellent location. We will certainly recommend the finca to all our friends.

Thanks, Keith, for a great holiday, and all the best for the future.
Di and Dave McDonald, Dorset, UK September 2003
We have had a wonderfully relaxed week at F.L.
Abigail was perfect, well equipped and handy for the pool. Thanks Keith and good luck for the future. (Grace)
Comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. I don't want to go home! See you next time. (Alan)
Alan and Grace Chatting, Plymouth, UK August 2003
We have found Finca Limoneros to be the ideal start for our new life here in Spain, and it has been a great retreat from all the bureaucracy. The apartment is tasteful and well thought out - we enjoyed the welcoming fruit and veg!
Thank you Keith for being an excellent host - unobtrusive but helpful - you've created an excellent setup here!
Justin and Ellie Bartholomew, Sturminster Newton, UK August 2003
We have had the most relaxing two weeks.
The studios are perfect. And thank you Keith for all the small touches which make it memorable, fruit, tomatoes and wine!
Not to mention a wonderful walk in El Chorro.
Thank you very much.
Linda and Ian Rundle, Kendal, UK August 2003
Have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Abigail, a super and well equipped apartment and a most 'welcome' pack!
We've visited some wonderful places and seen some stunning scenery - favourites include El Torcal and Ronda - simply out of this world!
Always nice to know there was a relaxing dip in the pool on our return to F.L.
Thanks to Keith for being such a welcoming host and lending us 50 euros when the banks were closed!

Martin and Louise Doyle, Staffordshire, UK August 2003
Hot sun, clean and welcoming apartment, juicy tomatoes, very relaxing atmosphere, plenty of wonderful places to explore, and, of course, the swimming pool!
A real oasis - just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks for ten days of perfect chill-out and all the best for the future, Keith. It'll be very hard making sure we get to the airport on time!

Dom and Vanessa Aldred, Newcastle, UK August 2003
We came expecting sun, scenery and serenity and found the added bonus of a very comfortable, well equipped Oliver Studio and a very welcome 'welcome pack'. The home grown tomatoes, aubergine and lemons were a super treat.
Our best wishes for your future success, Keith! We'll spread the news of Finca Limoneros around Shetland!!

Alvis and Ian Merrall, Shetland, UK August 2003
Our third visit to Finca Limoneros and Alora and we love it more each time.

Keith was as welcoming as ever and we can hardly wait to return in October.

[Louise and Dave first stayed at the finca in April 2003]
Louise Barber and Dave Stewart, Rutland, UK July 2003
The setting and location was perfect to both unwind and explore some wonderful scenery. El Chorro and the road to Ronda were breathtaking and picturesque.

The facilities were excellent, the host and guests most admirable company and Finca Limoneros is a tranquil haven. Gracias!
Hanora and David Habberjam, Aylesbury, UK July 2003
The apartment is beautifully done - perfect for self-catering and escaping after a day with estate agents. We must thank Keith for being a fantastic host : cleaning, laundry, entertaining us with the 'Floyd' and keeping Finca Limoneros pristine. You have a wonderful place - stop in for a cookery course at Vanessa's 'gratis'! (Tim)

If your tortilla is anything to go by you don't need the course! Thanks for a lovely 3 weeks - see you in October (Vanessa).

Tim Bartz and Vanessa Saunders, New York City, USA July 2003
Look's like it's all been said! Thanks, Keith (Veronica)

Well done, Keith - and thanks for all the useful advice and helpful tips - we're coming back! (Jim)
Veronica and Jim Haig, Fife, UK July 2003
Wonderful base to explore surrounding countryside. Excellent facilities and advice - we'll be back!

We'll have to extend our 5 year plan to 6 or more - feel the need to replicate Finca Limoneros - is that possible!!

Viv and John Lucas, Bristol, UK July 2003
What other superlative could be used about Finca Limoneros? We have enjoyed staying at this well thought out, cared for and welcoming base from which to explore the area - thanks to Keith!
Although a short and not so relaxing visit, as we were property hunting, the finca offered much needed sanctuary from the heat - and the estate agents!
Finca Limoneros also allowed us the opportunity to meet a wonderful couple from New York, namely Tim and Vanessa. As we all have decided to buy property in the most idyllic Spanish village we hope that they will become life long friends.
Thanks again Finca Limoneros and Keith!

Michelle and Duncan Boyle, Stubbington, UK (hopefully Andalucia very soon!!!) July 2003
Keith's brilliant web site hooked us from the beginning and the Adam studio lived up to expectations, lots of really nice touches and spotlessly clean!! Some gorgeous places to visit and a lovely welcoming pool to return to at the end of a "hard day"!
As for Keith - what can we say, a lovely, lovely man, we arrived as guests but I hope we will be leaving as friends - we will be keeping in touch as we won't be living too far away. It's a shame we didn't meet Sherill but maybe when we visit again.
Thanks very much Keith, hasta luego!!

Janet and Ron Clover, formerly Bexley, UK, now Estepa, Spain July 2003
Oliver is a super studio apartment, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. CDs and books a super touch.
The pool was wonderful, a real necessity in the hot Andalusian sun.
Great base for exploring the area - so much to see - Ardales, El Chorro and El Torcal to name a few.
Thanks for a real 'chill-out' at Finca Limoneros.
Karen and Roger Cousins, Torquay, UK July 2003
We endorse everything that has already been said about this lovely finca living up to the expectations created by the superb website.
We hope to return to do some birdwatching when it is a bit cooler. Meanwhile we wish you success and happiness with your venture!
Ann and Tony Sear, Bury St Edmunds, UK June 2003
Best self-catering we've ever stayed in - you've thought of everything to make us comfortable and feel at home.
Exchanged ideas and info regarding houses - very useful if we decide to move out here.
I'm sure you'll be very successful and hope to see you again.
Lynne and Graham Rogers, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, UK June 2003
Super in every respect!
- Excellent website
- Helpful and friendly when booking etc.
- Arrival pack much appreciated
- Well equipped and comfortable studio
- Helpful, friendly host
What more could you want?
Bill and Joyce Whitelaw, Macclesfield, UK June 2003
A peaceful place to rest and unwind in a studio with every comfort thought of by welcoming and considerate hosts.
Finca Limoneros lives up to its web site and we were never disappointed.
We're very sorry but we stole a lemon for our G & T. Thank you!
Barrie and Erica Griffin, Berkhamsted, UK June 2003
We would like to thank you for the hospitality and great stay in your lovely finca! Alora is a perfect location, exploring the splendid nature of Andalucia. Oliver studio is Ole! Seeing the flamingoes was "the end" - super.
Peter and Ineke de Wit, Hamont-Achel, Belgium May 2003
We very much enjoyed the hospitality and seeing the terrace in front of the Abigail transform in front of our very eyes! Good luck with your venture (Amber).
Thank you and Sherill for the Finca Limoneros. It was everything your email said it was. Amber and I enjoyed the relaxing time we had there. The slow paced travel to Torcal, El Chorro, Ronda, etc made it a very pleasant location to see the area. I enjoyed the slower paced life in Alora with my many sidewalk cafe solos (Ken).
Ken and Amber Wickwire, Houston, Texas, USA May 2003
What a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Perfect weather, lovely pool and good company. What more could you ask for!!
The studio was great, felt like home from home (welcome pack, CD, books, etc) and Keith and Sherill made us feel like they were sharing their home with us.
Great places to visit but ran out of time!
Thank you... Mike and Alison
Michael and Alison Green, West Mersea, UK May 2003
Had an enjoyable time here and have visited many towns and villages in the surrounding area.
Hosts very helpful and pleasant. Hope to return some time!
John and Diana Brown, Croydon, UK May 2003
We have had a very enjoyable stay here at Finca Limoneros. The weather has been very good and we have seen many birds and enjoyed the nature. Now we are leaving for Norway where there is rain and it is only 12C.
Tron Aspelund, Kirsten Trogstad, Tone og Jan Odegard, Norway May 2003
4 days of blissful weather - lovely to sunbathe by the pool to the sound of Spanish tunes drifting from Keith and Sherill's home...
The garden is coming along nicely since my last visit, too. The first hibiscus bloomed and the terra cotta pots look wonderful.
Sue, Capel St Mary, Suffolk, UK May 2003
We had originally booked a week in El Chorro with a major tour company but had to cancel because the plumbing wasn't finished (Juani, where were you!!)
I'd already found 'Limoneros' on the web a day after booking and felt I knew Keith and Sherill already, so a quick email and everything was arranged.
Loved the finca. Great birding (Golden Oriole at El Chorro being the highlight) and we'll miss the nightingales.
Alora is a good base and we used the trains to go to Malaga (great fish at El Palo, 5km east) and to Cordoba, where a trip to the Mezquita will stay in our memories forever.
Thank you both for your hospitality and help with the birding sites. We wish you every success in your new venture and hope to be back. PS Great breakfasts at Bar Alora!

Alison and Sid Crump, Stokenchurch, Bucks, UK May 2003
Not bird people but I can say this is the first time I have ever heard a nightingale.
The Abigail Apartment is just perfect, everything you could need. Frank enjoyed the Spanish chit chat with the builders.
We toured the area but I am convinced we will return, plenty more to see and do here.
Keith and Sherill made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed meeting Sherill's friend Sue. We also enjoyed many conversations and laughs with the other guests.
Good luck for the future.
Mary and Frank Whittle, Pembroke, West Wales, UK May 2003
Thanks for a great break at the finca, a brilliant place to start house hunting in and around the area.
And the finca shows what a wonderful home could be made in Alora.
Thanks again for a great time.
Mark and Sam Armstrong, Manchester, UK May 2003
A lovely welcome in a lovely place in a lovely area makes for a successful venture - a happy life! (and a good intro to Spanish building practices for us!)
Barbara and Peter Taylor, Ceredigion, Wales May 2003
Thanks Keith and Sherill for such a warm welcome and making our stay so relaxing, despite the fact that we spent most of our time house hunting.
It was always lovely to return to Finca Limoneros and chill out in the evenings. As everyone says, the 'welcome pack' was very welcome and a thoughtful touch. We will call in again next time we are over to check on the Finca's progress. We wish you all the best.
Simon Llewellyn and Carolyn Angelucci, Barnet, UK May 2003
What a lovely place!
We came to birdwatch and walk but Abigail made us so lazy - so we watched the little Woodchat Shrike and listened to the Nightingales from our terrace in the sun. Thanks to Keith and Sherill for the generous welcome and attention to detail.
Keith and Lis Hill, Holt, Norfolk, UK May 2003
Just a brief note to say how much I enjoy reading your journal. My father
moved to Alora pueblo a year ago, I have visited him a couple of times and love all the detailed information about the town and surrounding countryside that you write about. I am hoping to do some walking when I visit next month, so your section on walking in El Hacho was a great inspiration. Once again thanks for taking the time to write about your busy lives.
Mandy Magee, UK May 2003
Great four days, relaxation, excellent studio, good birdwatching and great scenery.
Thanks for the welcome and hospitality.
Great places included El Chorro, Laguna Dulce and Teba Gorge.
Even an early morning walk on the Rio Guadalhorce was worthwhile.
Ther was always a swim in the pool to cool off after a long day.
Chris and Joanne Courtaux, Dorset, UK May 2003
A lovely studio located near places of outstanding natural beauty. El Chorro, El Torcal and Bobastro are spectacular places even for the well-travelled. Our thanks to Keith and Sherill for being so helpful and for pointing us towards the best bars and restaurants in the locality.
Peter and Vera Atrill, Plymouth, UK April 2003
Very relaxing stay. Excellent base for exploring Andalucia with Ronda a real highlight. Good food and wine and, between the showers, some pleasant weather. Thanks to Keith and Sherill for being such good hosts. Many thanks.
Gary and Karen Wootton, Burgess Hill, UK April 2003
Lovely hosts!
Oliver is a very comfortable studio, welcome pack greatly appreciated. We have had a great first visit to Spain, lovely scenery, hope this is the first of many.
I have progressed well with my Spanish.
Paul has really enjoyed the birdwatching, including a few 'lifers', a great way he says to spend his 50th birthday!
Many thanks.
Paul and Elaine Winter, Southampton, UK April 2003
A wonderful spot in a beautiful part of Spain.
Too short a stay - hope to return some day.
Good birding and lovely flowers.
Many thanks!
Penny and Graham Lower, Flimwell, Wadhurst, Sussex, UK April 2003
A very comfortable apartment and attentive, hospitable hosts have given us a very relaxing 3 days.
The birding has been also good - additional thanks to John Butler!
Philip and Jean Jones, Cornwall, UK April 2003
It was the first time for us to visit Spain. And it was the first sight of the Arab buildings, which striked us by their elegance.
Finca Limoneros is an ideal starting point to Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba and for walks in the Natural Park.
Rudiger and Abel Koch, Preetz, Germany April 2003
Frank and Veronica left before we could retrieve the Guest Book for them, and Veronica had just washed her hair. We are hoping they will email something to us soon.
Frank and Veronica Glascott, Liverpool, UK April 2003
Beautiful finca with lots of thoughtful touches like CD player, welcome pack and wine.
David spent his birthday in lovely surroundings and we rounded off our holiday by buying a plot of land in Alora!
Looking forward to sharing a bottle of wine with Sherill and Keith in our new pad.
Thanks for introducing us to this beautiful place.
Louise Barber and David Stewart, Rutland, UK April 2003
What a beautiful place - Andalucia, Alora and Finca Limoneros.
We loved everything so much, we stayed an extra night!
We were especially honoured that our daughter, Alisa, was lucky enough to be the first to use the pool this year (if only briefly).
Kathy, Jeff and Alisa Dunning, Denver, Colorado, USA March 2003
Thanks for a great time and friendly welcome.
Dermot Crossey, Sudbury, Suffolk March 2003
We didn't manage to read all the books and play all the CDs in the studio - I think there's a few pieces of kitchen equipment we didn't use either - guess we're just gonna have to come back again.
Thanks for making my birthday one of the best.
Sue Ayoub and Alan Boswell, Capel St Mary, Suffolk March 2003
A warm welcome and a happy and inspirational stay.
Will recommend to all our friends.
Brenda Kelly-Evans and Brian Spencer ('Spence'), Brighton, UK March 2003
Had a great 2 week stay using the finca as a base for touring Andalucia with day trips to Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, Ronda and, in between, days of relaxation on the coast or in the surrounding countryside.
We were well looked after by Keith and Sherill (welcome pack, local information etc) and wish them all the best for the future success of their project.
Many thanks!
Peter and Judith Beaven, Reinbek, Germany March 2003
We already knew Alora as my parents have wintered here for 7 years.
Finding this place on the Internet was a bonus for us and as we read Keith's Journal on a regular basis we felt instantly 'at home' on our arrival.
We endorse all the previous comments and add that we have enjoyed a good nightly sleep in very comfy beds!
We also appreciated having the music system and will be bringing more CDs on our next visit!
We will continue to monitor the progress of the building work, and wish Keith and Sherill much success.
Steve and Steph Holland, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, UK March 2003
Lovely comfortable studio with very friendly hosts.
Most grateful for the Welcome Pack - wine was excellent.
Disappointed that we were so busy house hunting for our own holiday home in Spain to really enjoy the surroundings to the full.
Would love to come back again and will definitely recommend the 'finca' to family and friends.
Dave and Margaret Barbour, Marston Moreteyne, Bedfordshire, UK March 2003
Very comfortable studio with everything you need to hand.
Beautiful surroundings, weather gorgeous.
Thanks for your hospitality, you must come and have a drink when we move in across the valley.
Clare and Rowland Appleford, Guildford, Surrey, UK March 2003
We've had a lovely week, with a full range of weather!
Don't miss El Torcal or the trip up El Chorro to the Embalses (Andalucian lakes).
The studio is great - well kitted out. And the Welcome Pack is very welcome!
Thanks for a lovely stay.
Dave and Jan Harris, High Wycombe, UK March 2003
Lovely to meet Keith and Sherill in their beautiful finca.
The limestone countryside is fantastic - looking forward to spending more time here and seeing more.
We will definitely be back.
Mike and Diane Greasley, Stranraer, Scotland, UK March 2003
We have had an excellent stay and you have given us loads of ideas.
I hope we can set up as good a business as you are doing.
Thanks for hospitality and lots of ideas
Sally and Tony Runham, Brighton, UK February 2003
Thanks for a great 10 night stay in our cosy studio, everything we needed, especially the welcome tea, coffee and milk.
The 'Finca' gave us a great base to explore Andalucia and we'd love to return when it's sunny and dry!
All the best for the future.
Shaara and Tony Preedy, Rochdale, Lancs, UK February 2003
Thank you for giving us such a warm welcome. We appreciated the 'Welcome Pack' on arrival and the gas heater was a godsend at night!
We must compliment you on your excellent web site and directions from the airport. A very pleasant, comfortable stay all round!
All the very best for a successful and happy future at Finca Limoneros. We hope to see you again very soon!
Stuart and Shane Schofield, Exmouth, Devon, UK February 2003
Just to say how much I have enjoyed your website and your Journal.
I look forward to adding to my Spanish with your word of the day. You are now on my favourites and I will be keeping up with your building projects regularly. I might even take up bird watching as you make it sound more interesting than I ever thought.
More pictures please!
Robert Harris, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK February 2003
A very pleasant 2 night stay in the Adam studio after a wonderful train journey from Malaga up the Guadalhorce Valley which cost less than 2 euros.
After exploring the picturesque town of Alora we cooked a great spaghetti and meatballs in the studio, washed down with a few glasses of wine!
We are both looking forward to returning later in the year to spend some more quality time relaxing in the sun by the pool and catching up on our hosts' exploits. Thanks to Keith and Sherill for a lovely time in the idyllic Guadalhorce valley.
John and Linda Wall, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK February 2003
A beautiful area with a welcome as warm as the sunshine!
Accommodation was superb, with everything you would wish for - especially enjoyed the welcome pack!
Already planning the next visit to the enchanting Finca Limoneros!
Good luck with your new venture.
Cheryl and Adam Spillane, Colchester & London, UK February 2003
Dear both,
Thank you for posting your journal on the internet. My partner and I look so much to catching up with your "doings".
Just from your, and other internet pages, we have fallen in love with your area and so are planning to come over soon and buy our dream home.
We were planning to go and live in Lanzarote, we go a lot. But on reflection we feel that Andalucia would be much more suited to all the things we enjoy, ie. gardening, bird watching, walking with our two dogs, etc. etc.
We will most likely drop in and meet you when we are over, ( if we may?) feel as if we know you already!
Keep up the good work, looking forward to hearing your daily news.
Kindest regards,
Elizabeth and David Minns February 2003
Enjoyed our four nights at Finca Limoneros. It was nice to stay with some serious birdwatchers who gave us some good tips and lent us John Butler's book on local sites.
Fuente de Piedra and Lagunas de Campillos were worth a visit if only to see the flamingoes. Birding in Malaga was tough in comparison.
Local walks are nice.
Hope birdwatchers and walkers can make the finca successful.
(By the way, please arrange for a Black Stork on our next visit).
Michael Green and Carol Auer, Dayville, Connecticut, USA January 2003
Very enjoyable stay. My sister and Keith's hospitality very good as always. Studio has all the comforts of home. We will be back in May to try out the Abigail apartment!
Steph Green and Clive Ellis, West Mersea, Essx, UK January 2003
Dear Sherill and Keith,
I would just like to say thank-you for your amusing tales on "Keith's Journal" each day. As my other half and I have plans to buy a finca in your region at the end of next year we are fascinated to read your exploits and laugh and learn by them.

[Gill and Michael eventually stayed with us in November 2003]
Gill and Michael Dawkins January 2003
Our week's stay in the Oliver Studio at Finca Limoneros was indeed a delight. Very fresh, clean & spacious studio with marvellous views across the valley. Very comfortable too. The days were often peppered with friendly neighbours passing through bearing gifts, mainly home grown fruit and vegetables and even home made doughnuts, which all contribute to a 'feel-good' and friendly atmosphere. The town of Alora proved to be a hidden treasure - filled with charm, very pretty with many lovely eateries. Keith & Sherill have indeed found themselves an unspoilt and ideal location. We are counting the days to our next visit in March.
Sue Ayoub and Alan Boswell, Capel St Mary, Suffolk, UK December 2002
Keith and Sherill, you have created a superb place to stay - without doubt the best quality accommodation in Alora.
We'll be back to explore the vastly interesting area round about.
David and Denise Woolsey, Tiptree, Essex, UK December 2002
Excellent 4 days stay. Studio was very comfortable and location an excellent base to tour Andalucia.
Reception was warm and friendly. Best of luck to Sherill and Keith.
Ian and Maureen Wallace, Northampton, UK December 2002
